Author of The Power of Story (May 2026), I am a former instructor at Vancouver Film School, Vancouver Acting School, and Langara College Film Arts Program.

I've worked as coach to new and established writers in high schools, college classrooms, animation studios, film festivals, at media industry networking events. Training and supporting storytellers since 2015, I also prepare them to pitch to Netflix, Nickelodeon, and other platforms, as well as to publishers, producers, and festivals around the world.

I've served as judge for major film festivals and awards events, as coverage specialist and script consultant for film production companies, and spoken at fan conventions across North America.

But here's the deal: Before that, I was stuck for years at the top of Alberta gas plant towers on safety watch. Before that, I was an employment advisor; and before that, I was a pastor, bartender, DJ, and washer of rich people's yachts. I spent years saying, "one day."

And yes, I've got kids - five of them.
